Drawing is a lot like sex. If your going to be good you have to know what every curve needs to express it, and how every quiver is a part of the whole. And if you ever find yourself doing something just to finish then you need to stop and relax. - My self explaining what art is to a friend


So today I started working on a drawing I hadn't touched in months, I sent a friend a picture of her before I started again. After I get to work I noticed.... at the time I had started originally I had messed up a lot of things. While I am realizing this my friend sends me a text saying he wishes he could be good at art. I told him i have probably 15-20 art books at home, out of which maybe 2 have art I would show people. It's a lot of practise.

I said the quote up at the top, and then explained "like this girl I was really cruel to. I really liked her from the start so I just wanted to finish and show her off.  I took a month off and now i see I had neglected her in a lot of ways."

So this is my reminder to myself, to treat all my drawings with respect, and give them the proper love they deserve.
